Rum & Sherry

Rum,  originates in the Caribbean and is a versatile spirit with flavours ranging from sweet caramel and vanilla to rich, dark, and spicy notes, especially when aged. It's often enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or in cocktails. Sherry, on the other hand, is a fortified wine from Spain that offers a wide spectrum of flavours - from the light, dry Fino to the sweet, rich Pedro Ximénez. Both have rich histories and are wonderful to explore through tasting.

Rum is a distilled alcoholic beverage made from sugarcane byproducts like molasses or sugarcane juice, which both include the light-bodied rums, typified by those of Cuba and Puerto Rico, and the heavier and fuller-flavoured rums of Jamaica. It originated in the Caribbean in the 17th century and is now produced globally, particularly in tropical regions.

Sherry is a fortified wine from Spain's Jerez region, with historical roots dating back to ancient times. It is made primarily from Palomino grapes, Pedro Ximénez or Moscatel. It's aged using a unique Solera system, and can be dry or sweet. Sherry remains an integral part of Spanish culture and cuisine, often enjoyed as an aperitif or paired with various dishes.
