Arbikie win prestigious award at the Scottish Whisky Awards

Arbikie was announced the winner of the "Excellence in Sustainability" award at the annual prestigious Scottish Whisky Awards.

At Arbikie, the whisky story starts with preparing the soil for sowing the grain. The following field-to-bottle process ensures we understand the effect of every ingredient vital to the entire whisky production and, in turn, we respect and nurture the environment we depend upon.

The World Whisky

World whisky encompasses spirits produced beyond traditional Scotch or Bourbon regions, showcasing unique local techniques, ingredients, and ageing processes. 

  • American bourbon or rye: Charred oak barrels impart vanilla and spice notes. Bourbon and rye continue to expand globally.

Brandy & Cognac

The world of brandy encompasses a diverse range of spirits produced globally, each with unique characteristics influenced by local ingredients, traditions, and ageing processes. It remains one of the most appreciated and versatile spirits worldwide. 

  • Cognac: A high-quality brandy from the Cognac region of France, amde from specific grape varieties and following strict production rules .
  • Armagnac: Another French brandy from the Gascony region, typically distilled in a different manner than Cognac. 
  • Spanish Brandy: Often produced in Jerez or elsewhere in Spain, sometimes aged longer and with unique characteristics.
  • American Brandy: Produced in the U.S., often made from apples or grapes. 
  • Other regional brands: Such as Italian Grappa (though technically a different spirit), South African brandies, and more.
